Q- How long will my Physical Therapy appointment be?
A- Appointments can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more. It depends on how intensive your therapy must be. If you need to leave by a certain time just let us know and we will be more than happy to accommodate you.
Q- Should I come to my appointment early?
A- It is always best to come a few minutes early to your appointment. We want to make sure that your care begins at the time you are scheduled
Q- Do you accept my insurance?
A- Please consult with our INSURANCE portion of the website. We do not accept most UPMC Health plans but we do accept those with Out-of-Network benefits. Consult with your insurance provider to see if you have physical therapy coverage.
Q- Will I have a co-pay?
A- It depends on your insurance provider. Some health insurances do have co-pays, you will need consult with your insurance provider to see if you will have a co-pay for physical therapy visits.
Q- Do I need a prescription from my doctor?
A- Not always. Advantage Physical Therapy is a Direct Access clinic. In accordance with Pennsylvania State Law we are allowed to treat a patient without a prescription for 30 days. However, if you use Medicare as your main insurance provider, we must have a prescription to treat you.
Q- Do you treat children?
A- We do not treat infants or toddlers but we do treat elementary, middle, and high school aged children.
